This past weekend we were able to watch and celebrate the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby. Living in Louisville, Kentucky for three years, we fell in love with the Derby. This is my way of keeping a little bit of the Derby and Kentucky with me wherever I call home. What can I say, I left a piece of my heart in Kentucky.
Kentucky Fried Chicken and Hot Brown Sliders always a favorite.
Roses are a must!
Strawberry Roses and a luscious fruit dip carry out the theme.
Printable tags by PinkPolkaDotChair were used on the utensils and on the Julep jars by Libbey. Also, adding embellishments to the striped party straws . I used a continual color scheme of red, black, and silver to tie everything together.
A Derby party must, Virgin Mint Juleps that everyone can enjoy.
Rose decorated Red Velvet cupcakes and Derby Pie for dessert! A Derby tradition.
Fort Knox chocolate Party Favors and darling subway printable for the guests.
Rosettes add color and charm to the decorations.
For added fun, a friendly game of horseshoes.
